In the wake of growing concerns in Canada and across North America about anti-Black racism, anti-Indigeneity, and the ongoing reassessment of community safety systems, the Coalition of Community Health and Resource Centres recognized a need to re-examine how resources are deployed to address safety needs here in Ottawa.
